Sending Whisky outside UK to EU ...

Could you give us a clue when it would be possible again for you to send whisky to other EU-States again?
I think it is because you have to pay custom and duty in the other state - and get back the paid amount in UK?
Will there be a impact to the price we have to pay?

What would be with postal services that collect the whisky at your place and send it to me ?

Janet is currently looking into all possible options for this and as soon as we find a method of shipping she will let you know. If you send her an email about collection prices I'm sure she'll be able to find out if it is possible and if so, how much it will cost.

Thank's everyone for your patience. We are almost there, we are having a wee trial run with the co-operation of a few Society Members, so hopefully within the next couple of weeks we will be able to resume our dispatches.

Thank you everyone for your patience. We have been successful in sending to some other countries - others we are still working on. You do not pay both the UK duty and the duty in your own country. I have been sending out amended invoices - less UK duty - and our volunteers have paid the duty in their own country and sent me back the original documents. From there I have been able to send out their orders. It does take a little longer to send out orders, but at least we are able to do so. Hopefully we will be back in "full swing" very soon.
